Peristaltic Vs. Lobe-Pump
Looking to test dispensed volume over time of two pump options for dispensing sauces for the automated food industry.
The peristaltic pump is very cost effective, but will dispensed volume deviate. The lobe pump has higher cost but has a proven track record.
Flow sensors were placed within the output of both pump. A simple hall-effect switch was used on both flow sensors and pump motor. This information was feed into an Arduino were dispense-amount Vs pump-rotations could be compared over time.
After over 2 million data points, the answer was found.
